ADIOS 1928!

DCP has closed the DCP Project Space at 1928 Folsom Street. Exhibitions, screenings and event programming are suspended indefinitely. The projects, performances and exhibitions presented during DCP’s tenancy at 1928 Folsom are fully documented on the website. Thank you all for the support this project has received since our first off-site presentation of Austin McQuinn's 'VIRTUOSO' at New Langton Arts in April 2007. Over the course of thirty months the DCP Project Space hosted 20 exhibitions and exhibited the work of almost 70 artists (not including the 250+ students from Marshall Elementary School).

DCP is on hiatus until further notice. I am taking a break from the pressures and joys of maintaining and running a full time dedicated 'white box' space to consider future forms and possibilities for DCP. The website will see some changes and improvements and DCP will continue to support and advocate for the artists who have previously exhibited with us. News and updates will be posted to the DCP website on a semi-regular basis.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend sincere thanks to all the artists, assistants, collaborators, collectors, co-presenters, critics, curators, preparators, supporters and regular visitors who contributed so much to this ‘experiment’. In particular I would like to thank Richard T. Walker, David Maxim, Walter Gorman, Eva Bovenzi, Austin McQuinn and Lauren Davies for their exceptional dedication and moral support of this endeavor.

Happy New Year to everyone,
David Cunningham
