Alice Maher lives and works in Ireland. She is represented by David Nolan Gallery in New York, Purdy Hicks in London and Green on Red Gallery in Dublin, Ireland. One of Ireland’s most celebrated artists she had major solo exhibition installed at the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin, Ireland and a retrospective at Brighton Museum - both in 2007. She has exhibited widely internationally and is the recipient of several major awards and grants including a Fulbright scholarship to study at the San Francisco Art Institute in 1986. She represented Ireland at the 22nd Sao Paolo Bienal in Brazil and is a member of Aosdana. Her work is included in several important public and private collections including the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Fogg Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She will exhibit new work at David Nolan Gallery in NYC in February 2008.
