David Maxim was born in Los Angeles and lives and works in San Francisco. His work is included in many important public collections in the US and in Europe, including the British Museum, Albertina in Vienna, SFMOMA, Oakland Museum among others. A prolific artist he often works on several series and at different scales simultaneously producing drawings and small scale sculptures in tandem with his large scale abstract paintings. His most recent solo show was ‘Nets and Templates’ at Graystone Gallery in San Francisco and his work was included in the inaugural exhibition at the DCP project space in 2007.
DCP will present a solo exhibition of his work in January 2008.
